Because McDonald’s Corporation covers the majority of general and administrative costs for the RMHC global office, a majority of the money donated by individuals and corporations goes to local RMHC Chapters and our three core programs:

In addition to funding RMHC core programs, contributions to the Charity support the RMHC U.S. Scholarship Program. Because of our ongoing commitment to education, students of all ethnicities and backgrounds are given the opportunity to receive a higher education. Local RMHC Chapters in the U.S. and RMHC Global awarded more than 1,916 scholarships, totaling more than $3.6 million, in 2007. Since the inception of the program, over $29 million has been awarded to rising high school seniors.

    Darryl Pierrynowski made an in-kind donation in offering his services as a project coordinator of the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Halifax, Nova Scotia, because he knew firsthand what families were going through. His donation helped one woman relax and recharge while her son was ill.
